FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CAN WE LEAVE THE FESTIVAL SITE AND COME BACK?

Yes, keep your wristband on and you will be able to come and go as you please at all 3 festival sites.
---
I AM PRESS / A PHOTOGRAPHER, CAN I OBTAIN A PASS?

Please note, press and photo passes are only available for recognised press. Freelance or student photographers are not permitted, and all passes should be applied for by the publication you are shooting for. For festival accreditation - CLICK HERE
---

CAN I BRING MY CAMERA WITHOUT A PRESS/PHOTO PASS?

Yes! We are one of the very few festivals that do not restrict what camera equipment you can bring onto the site. Feel free to bring your camera with you on the day. (This applies to cameras only, not video-recording equipment).
---

WHEN/WHERE?

Slam Dunk Festival is an annual event, now held over three days on the May Bank Holiday weekend. This year all three dates of the festival are 14+ and will take place in:

- Leeds City Centre on Saturday 28th May,
- The NEC Birmingham on Sunday 29th May,
- The University of Hertfordshire (Hatfield) on Bank Holiday Monday 30th May.
---

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GO?

Each of the three events are priced at £42 (S.T.B.F) for the festival, or £47 (S.T.B.F) for festival + afterparty. All festival days are 14+ with afterparties being strictly 18+, and you cannot buy afterparty tickets separately.

For #SDF16 we are also offering a brand new Mega Ticket deal that includes entry to all three days, plus afterparties, with wristband exchange q-jump and an exclusive t-shirt! The Mega Ticket bundle is priced at £150 (S.T.B.F).
---

WHERE CAN I BUY TICKETS?

There is a list of official vendors listed on the homepage of our website. These are our trusted vendors and you can buy with peace of mind. Please do not trust third parties, ticket re-selling sites or touts.
---

DO ALL THE BANDS PLAY EVERYDAY? IS IT OUTSIDE?

There are an equal amount of stages at all three events, and all the bands will play all three days.

Please note that all three festival sites have both indoor and outdoor stages, and that this is an all-weather event. While we hope for good weather every year it is advised you bring appropriate, weather resistant clothing.

Please also note that each stage at each site has a certain capacity. We cannot guarantee you access to any particular stage at any particular time once the room/tent is full. If any stage is at capacity we will operate a ‘one-in / one-out’ system.

Violent or potentially dangerous activities (crowd-surfing / stage-diving / moshing) are undertaken at the participants risk. Slam Dunk as an organization does not condone any of these activities and will not be held accountable for injury/loss of possessions as a direct result of such activities.
---

WHEN ARE THE BANDS PLAYING?

Please check out the event information sections on this page! Use the 'STAGE TIMES' button to be directed to the FB event with all stage times and breakdowns.

WHAT IS THE AFTERPARTY/HOW DO I GET TICKETS?

The notorious Slam Dunk festival after-show-party is a club night held within, or near to, the festival site. There will be resident Slam Dunk DJ’s as well as guest DJ’s from Uprawr and our other partner clubs, playing from 11PM – 3AM. The afterparty is STRICTLY 18+, and YOU MUST PURCHASE YOUR AFTERPARTY TICKET WITH YOUR FESTIVAL TICKET through the option provided via all online and physical outlets.

There will only be tickets available on the day if they do not sell out in advance, which is unlikely! You will need ID to enter the afterparty – no ifs, no buts!

IS THERE DRINK/ALCOHOL/LOCKERS AVAILABLE ON SITE?

Yes. All venues provide a varying selection of bars/shops/eateries throughout the festival sites. Please note you are not permitted to bring in your own food or drink. All sites will have either lockers or a cloakroom to store your belongings, but please note there is no guarantee these services will be available all day – once they are full, they are full!
---

CAN MY BAND PLAY / CAN I WORK / CAN WE HAVE A CLOTHING STALL AT THE FESTIVAL?

We appreciate your interest and support for our festival but we do not take any submissions from bands, we have all the crew we need, and clothing stalls are saved exclusively for our sponsors.
---

WHEN WILL MY TICKETS ARRIVE?
---
We have no control over when each individual ticket outlet sends out tickets. Outlets may send tickets as and when their stock arrives, however due to an increase in tout activity many choose to send a couple of weeks before the event. PLEASE do not panic if your tickets are not with you by this time, simply contact the ticket outlet you bought them with (not us!), who will be able to provide you with an update. In the very worst case scenario, if your tickets have not arrived by the day of the event, there are still measures in place to ensure you get in.
---
